In relation to architecture, a cornerstone is traditionally the first stone set for a masonry foundation with all stones laid in reference. The cornerstone orients the building In a specific direction. It is the core of the building.

So on this road I chose, Jesus ensures the stability of the whole system(building) of my salvation and remains the only plan.

See, I lay a stone in zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation. The one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic

The Bible refers to us as a building, the Church. And Jesus as the cornerstone meaning everything else springs from him as the core of the church. Everything else meaning, career, relationship, business, praying , fasting, fellowshiping studying the word and holy communion etc, all these add on to the free gift of salvation God gave us through his son Jesus Christ.

It is as simple as confessing with your mouth that he is lord and savior.

Who watches over you when you sleep, countless battles he fights that we never even know about. I can’t explain how he does it. I just know he can and is willing.
