And something inside me just broke. That’s the only way I could describe it.~ Ranata Suzuki
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest.
Let’s get into some medical facts.
There are two hormones at work,
1.Adrenaline produced from the adrenal glands, it is the first hormone produced when you get frightened, and it leads to the first stage of stress.
2.Cortisol is produced when you fail to cope at the first stage.
Because adrenaline is short-acting, the cortisol circulates in the body and may result in cardiovascular diseases causing loss of weight because of its effect on cell metabolism of insulin and other factors follow.
In stage 3, when cortisol continues to circulate it will lead to exhaustion, organ failure and hence causing death.
And that is what the burden of heavy emotion will do to your body.
Depression if not treated will lead to death.
That sucide death,
The victim lost control over there thoughts, they were dead long before they died. We just didn’t see them or hear them.
I will go on a limb and say that as much as it is a health disorder, it is spiritual, it is also a choice.
No one around us will understand what they don’t know.
We are not mind readers like that.
The spirit reminded me this week of Isaiah 2:22
If we don’t speak up our choice to stay silent will kill us.
Expectation is another killer. But that is a topic for another day.
One thing I have realised over time is we are never really alone. Our minds make us believe so. But that is not true. Unmet expectations will get us to that point.
Faith is important.
Above all our choices make us..
After faith, my healing has come from books. Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer saved me. If you’re struggling with those ugly thoughts you can try that. And if you want to talk it out. I will make myself available, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
